WE‧CARE Framework
An appropriate framework for non-formal education will guide students' development in accordance with the fine traditions of the University. The Experiential Learning Activities (ELA), i.e. outside classroom activities and services of students are captured and presented under the WE‧CARE framework. “WE‧CARE” is a whole-person development model introduced by OSA of CUHK to nurture its students to become responsible global citizens and leaders by participating in a wide array of non-formal experiential learning activities. The acronym "WE‧CARE" represents 6 essential personal qualities that CUHK aims to instil in its students:

The WE‧CARE Framework places holistic student development at its core, providing students with diverse learning, experiential, and growth opportunities through five key development domains. These interconnected and mutually reinforcing domains support students in exploring their potential, broadening their horizons, developing leadership capabilities, fostering innovative thinking, and planning for their future aspirations.
Through a structured developmental journey and meaningful experiential learning opportunities, students are empowered to cultivate positive values and attitudes, enhance their personal competencies and professional capabilities, and develop into individuals with a global outlook, a strong sense of social responsibility, and the adaptability required to thrive in an ever-changing world.
